George dresses

Dresses for Every Occasion: At Work and for Play

Not everyone loves the idea of wearing dresses, but for those who are willing to step out of their comfort zone, George’s range of dresses can suit a variety of body shapes and styles so that those of us who are completely against dresses may find something that they’d be willing to wear.
Whether you need a dress to add to your work wear collection or you’re looking to add a couple of dresses to your wardrobe for those fancy meals out and special occasions, having a few dresses to choose from can help you to have a wider selection on tap for when you need it. While some of us love to wear dresses all the time, we understand that others would rather avoid the idea, turning to trusty jeans instead. However, if you gave one or more dress styles a chance, and chose some that would not only suit the occasion but your body type as well, you may change your mind about dresses altogether – you never know!
Work
For work, you don’t have to worry too much about the style of dress you choose, as long as it’s in keeping with what is expected of you. Some places of work are a little more lax with work wear requirements, giving you a little more freedom of choice, while others expect you to wear smart attire at all times, teamed with a pair of professional court shoes. The Mode Geo Knitted Dress, priced at £18, would be ideal for the office, with a pair of opaque, thick denier tights and a comfortable pair of shoes.
Casual
The classic pinafore dress is a great option if you want to stay as casual as possible. Pop a long sleeve top underneath and add some chunky knit tights and comfy winter boots, and you have yourself a perfect outfit for a day’s shopping or a quick trip to the local. If you’re not necessarily a dress fan, and much prefer to stay in jeans, choose a denim pinafore dress so that you can edge yourself into the concept of dress-wearing with ease.
Special Occasions
Whether it’s a birthday party, a fancy meal out or a wedding reception, they’re the perfect times to grab a dress for the occasion. Obviously, the type of dress you choose will depend on the event, but with a great selection of party and evening dresses available, you don’t have to spend a fortune on designer labels and high street brands. Something simple, like the Peter Pan Collar Detail Dress, available for £14 would be ideal if you wish to look sophisticated and elegant, without being over the top, while shift and midi dresses with a little lace detail could be an ideal, versatile option that would look fabulous for any occasion.
Take your pick from some of the fabulous dresses available, both at George and on the high street and add a little variety to your wardrobe – you never know when you might need it!

Bedtime flirt

                                                                Bedtime flirt
Hi everyone! I know it has been a little while since my last post but with it been the run up to Christmas I have just been so busy!. I know this is a little different from the usual outfit posts (I have no photos with this on for obvious reasons) I was sent over this little set from a company called Bedtime flirt. They are a lingerie website with gorgeous luxury night wear and underwear and also underwear that's a little risque. Now i'm not one of these people who wears risque underwear and quite frankly a little shy when it comes to the subject!. This set that I received is a little lace nightie with bows and a pair of knickers to match. I think if you are like me and a little shy this is also something you could wear to sleep in to add a little glamour. I can not fault the packaging and presentation, it arrived in a big black box and the items wrapped in pink tissue paper. Always a big thumbs up from me when people pay attention to detail in the packaging!.

Christmas dress #1

                                                            Dress- Chichi clothing
Hi everyone!. I thought that it might be cool if I did sort of a series of blog posts on ideas for Christmas day dresses. My first one is this amazing one from Chichi clothing. To be honest the whole of their dresses are amazing and would be perfect for Christmas day but this one is my favourite. I find that skater style dresses are always the most flattering on me and they are so easy to wear, this one has so much detail to it, the little bead and pearl embellishments on the top half are so pretty and with the tutu style skirt I think its a perfect party season dress!.

Three pieces of clothing you shouldn't be scared to try!

Hi everyone, this is sort of a little bit of a different post for me today but these 3 items are must in my wardrobe for the winter!

No one wants to look like they're trying too hard to play up to new styles, but it doesn’t seem fair that after a certain age women should have to stick to twinsets and golf trousers. You might not be able to get away with a tight denim miniskirt any more, but that’s no reason not to explore the following fashions this season.
Skinny jeans- With the right pair of skinny jeans you can look elegant and fashionable no matter what age you are. The key is to make sure you choose the right pair, which means trying a few and having a really good idea of your correct jean size. Pair them with heels or boots and make sure you wear a modest top - floaty and loose-fitted designs are often a good choice, as they can hide tummies and provide a nice contrast with the tight jeans.
Leather jacket- Wearing a cropped biker jacket covered in studs and zips can look a little silly if you’re over the age of 25! While the extreme punk rock look is better suited to youngsters, that doesn't mean you should discount leather jackets altogether. Aim for an understated design in a flattering cut: leather trench coats with a figure shaping belt are a particularly good choice. If you want a biker style, try to choose one that reaches to your hips. You can shop leather jackets at Isme to find the perfect piece.
Uggs- These comfortable sheepskin boots from Australia look cool and casual on women of all ages. Like any item of clothing, getting the right look really depends on what you wear them with. Keep the rest of your outfit sensible and fairly smart - tuck your skinny jeans into them and pop on a nice sweater or cardigan for a cosy but classy outfit. Like champagne and cheese, fashion sense improves with age, so embrace your triumphs and traumas from the years and style these trends to suit you!

Juicetou 3 day detox

                                                                   Juicetou detox
                                                              Twitter- @juicetou
Hi everyone! Now I know this is a fashion and beauty blog and this isn't the usual kind of blog post you would see from me, but I was recently contacted by a company called Juicetou. Basically what it is, is a detox diet. They have a option of doing it for 3 or 5 days, I did the 3. You get a box of 12 juices with the times you are suppose to drink them on, a leaflet telling you a bit about everything and 2 lemons to put in your water. Now for obvious reasons I wasn't doing this to lose weight but more for just giving my self a health kick. If you are wanting to lose weight you are not meant to eat anything at all on the days you are drinking, but as I didn't want to lose any weight I ate a lot more healthy than usual and cut out the snacks.

I suspect for day one for most people this would be the hardest one. As soon as I woke up I had my 9am drink which consisted of all things green, spinach, cucumber, celery, apples and limes. Now a lot of people would like this but as I hate green things this took me a while to drink but I knew that it would be doing me good, it says on the back of the bottle that you will receive more nutrients from that drink than most people do in a week. It took me about a hour to drink so I didn't feel hungry for a while afterwards. The next one was at 12pm this consisted of, oranges, apples, kiwi, grapes and strawberries, I love fruit and smoothie tasting things so for this one it went down a treat and this is the one I thought would benefit me the most as it says that it radiates your skin. I then had some tomato soup for my dinner and I wasn't hungry until tea time. I had the next one at 3pm which was the green one again. for tea at 6pm I had fish and potatoes with my family and the next drink as a dessert sort of thing. This one again tasted like a smoothie with all the berry's in it and it apparently makes a massive impact on your cardiovascular system. I didn't feel hungry for the rest of the night and I drunk around a pint of water for all the days. I repeated this over the next two days.
After the 3 days were over I obviously hadn't lost any weight because I wasn't trying to, but I could feel a massive improvement in my energy!. I didn't feel so sluggish and I know this sounds really silly but I just felt really happy and refreshed. Since drinking the juices my skin has been at its best and I am still feeling benefits from doing it. If you think you could go 3 or 5 days without eating then I recommend juicetou! I have seen a few reviews on it already for people who have been doing it to lose weight and the results are amazing!. They retweet a lot on twitter so if you follow them you can keep up with people results. I also highly recommend it if you are just looking for the health kick like I was and wanting to refresh yourself, so if you decide to do it then good luck! :).

                                                               Bag- Romwe
Hi everyone!. This is a outfit  wore the other day and I love it. I am all the Tartan trend this month and I think this dress is so cute, it also has the cute peter pan collar to add just a little something to it. I had to add my new bag from Romwe to it too as I am in love with it, t goes with everything and I love the gold against the black.
